Mriganka

Mriganka’s gold-tone colors are a carefully curated combination of elegance and class. Her striped pleats are bold, while her zari pallu evokes a feeling of regality. She fits into a formal occasion with as much ease as she does a regular day.

Mriganka is woven in a sandy beige silk fabric, with alternating soft brown vertical stripes on the pleats. They transition into an almost transparent zari pallu that matches the body, alluding to its luxurious nature. The blouse material is a deep brown, contrasting and complementing the gold-tone colors of Mriganka. A silver zari border — Aconi’s rendition of the customary gold one — runs along the length of the saree, perfecting her timeless charm.

About the name

This saree is named after Princess Mriganka Singh of Jammu & Kashmir who is a part of India’s new generation of royalty. The grace and brilliance which she is widely known for are prominent features of this saree.
