Learning as well as working as a female weaver is tough, but she did it anyway with all the struggles she faced. The biggest support she had was her husband and her family.
Getting married in 1989 in a weavers family and shifting from city life to a small town was a little surprising for her as she never imagined all these things coming together. In the start she was playing the housewife’s role as everywomen does after marriage but she wanted to do something else also and she got her chance. As the queen of Maheswar Ms. Sally Holkar started encouraging women weavers and making them a part of the weaver’s community, she joined her community and started learning to weave. As she was a good learner, she learned the magic of weaving very fast and become an amateur weaver.
