On the surface, Indira may seem unwavering, but a closer look reveals a certain depth. Her uniformity is broken by a spark as the end of her pallu transforms from silk to sheer zari, bringing a new-found luminescence to her stripes.

Indira is woven in silk, in a bold sandy brown with alternating beige stripes. Towards the end of her pallu, the fabric shifts to a sheer zari, continuing the same pattern but on an almost transparent, shimmery fabric. The blouse material is a copper brown, harmonizing with Indira’s gold-tone color palette. A silver zari border — Aconi’s rendition of the customary gold one — runs along the length of the saree, perfecting her timeless charm.

Indira has been conceptualized by our team of designers and crafted with careful expertise by senior weavers in the town of Maheshwar. An elusive twist on traditional Maheshwari sarees, the complexity of the weaving techniques used is amplified through minute attention to details.
